About Magically Fit

Let's get to know each other and work together!
Email Me

Hi, I'm jessica!

I live in Central Florida with my husband, where we frequently visit Walt Disney World theme parks and enjoy local conventions. I'm a cosplayer on TikTok (where you can find me @jessicasbizarreadventure) and love staying active.

On this blog, you'll find a conglomeration of some of my favorite things relating to recipes, anime, Walt Disney World, fitness, and all of the above somehow tied together. Fandom has heavily inspired my shift in living a healthy lifestyle and I think it can be a really powerful motivator in finding balance.

The Old Magically Fit can't come to the phone right now...

Back in 2015, I joined Weight Watchers (now known as WW) for the first time. This would ultimately be something I would regret. I wouldn't realize this until 2020.

If you go through the old parts of my blog, you'll find a ton of WW-related content, especially as it pertains to Walt Disney World. I talked a lot about not derailing your efforts from losing weight. And a lot of this stemmed from other WW members expressing a desire to stick to their diets while they were vacationing.

But I've done a lot of reading up on anti-diet culture madness. I realized during the pandemic just how deep I was into it and it was taking over my life, steadily turning into a case of orthorexia. I realize now that living a healthy lifestyle means enjoying yourself on vacation. If you're worried about WW Points while you're at Walt Disney World, that tells me you're not living in the moment. That's not very healthy, is it?

I'm happy to report that I've healed my relationship with food mentally. Physically, well, there's a lot of work my endocrinologist will have in store with me.

Please note that any content pre-2020 is probably triggering for those with EDs. There's simply too much for me to do a thorough deep dive all in one go, as this is not my full-time job and I'm also working on other passion projects now (I wrote a book!). To really comb through this for every instance where my orthorexia may have shone through is going to take me a very long time. I'm trying to work on it piece by piece to make this blog a safer space, but I might miss stuff along the way. If you see something I've missed that should absolutely be taken down, don't be afraid to let me know. I've grown and I hope we can all keep growing together.
