Anthony and I recently celebrated our two-year wedding anniversary so we wanted to try a new restaurant at Epcot! We went to Chefs de France, the main restaurant within the France Pavilion. This was our first time (we normally hit up the Japan Pavilion since it's our favorite cuisine in general), but as I also love French food, I was stoked.
We had a fantastic view. We went for lunch at 1:30 and had a great window spot. the Menu
The menu was presented on the table. They have a Prix Fix option that you don't have to order off of, but if you plan on getting an appetizer, entree, dessert, and drink, it definitely saves you money. If you're like us and don't drink alcohol, you do not need to get an alcoholic beverage. They let me get coffee with mine!
Our appetizers
For my appetizer, I went with the French onion soup. It ended up being a really cold and rainy day, so the soup was perfect. It was very savory and hearty, with a ton of cheese on top. This was almost filling enough as is!
Anthony got the escargot to try. The parsley garlic butter sauce that it was served with really. complemented the snails nicely. This was a first for both of us and we really enjoyed it. The escargot had a similar texture as calamari.
Entrees
Anthony got the Chef's Salad with Chicken: Chicken with Tomatoes, Celery, Onions, Hardboiled Egg, Swiss cheese, Romaine Lettuce served chilled with a French red wine vinegar dressing. He really enjoyed this salad, which seemed to never end. It was packed with tons of lettuce and veggies, with plenty of protein to stay full. There was a ton of Swiss on this, too!
I went with the White wine and Lemon marinated Salmon, broiled and served with Rice, Champagne Sauce. The sauce on the salmon had a great flavor that wasn't overwhelming. The salmon wasn't fishy at all and totally melted on your tongue. This portion size was perfect, too - super filling, but not so massive that it was overkill after my very filling soup.
Dessert
We both went with the creme brulee for dessert. Anthony had actually never had creme brulee before and it got his seal of approval! I found it to be both light yet flavorful. The top was the perfect amount of crispiness.

Everything here was fantastic. None of the flavors were too overwhelming, but everything was still packed with flavor. The presentation on everything was really pretty, too. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this joint, especially if you're going with no kids or with teenagers who don't care for character dining. We noticed there were definitely less small children at this location.
